Birthday Party Flowers




I was assigned for the floral design for a birthday party. The main flowers would be red roses. I could use anything else I wanted. Within the budget, I used 3 tall vases, 9 hydrangea, some curly willow branches, seeded eucalyptus, and a bunch of genista.

Aspidistra




Aspidistra is a very common green leave, yet very versatile. It provides infinite possibilities for its arrangement. Here are a few successful examples (1, 2) done by Eileen in the class. I did (3) last week in preparation for a demonstration coming soon.

Finally I welded a few steel rods together to form a simple sculpture piece last night. Today, a few students had fun arranging ikebana with it.
