(1) Diane. (Diane brought in a beautiful vase to the class. She wanted to try free style. She only had two ikebana lessons before, basic upright moribana and basic slanting moribana. It was a challenging task for her to use that container. What she did was a good arrangement. Nothing needed to change. What I tried below is not an "after." We discussed the principles of Sogetsu Ikebana and the importance of basic "kakeiho" training.
