Ikebana lessons 01/22/2010








Materials: Momosa acacia, forsythia, rose

Spring

(1) Eileen, free style, contemporary ceramic container, dry curly willow (skin was removed)

(2) Yuko, basket arrangement

(3), (4) Janelle, small arrangement. She got the vase from Sogetsu headquarter on her recent trip to Japan.

(5) Thomas, basic upright moribana. Good job for his first ikebana lesson.

(6) Linda, No. 3 variation, upright, moribana. Pay close attention to the length of Hikae. It should be 3/4 of the length of Soe.

Small arrangements, Wonderful food.
We had a wonderful time doing small arrangements using tea cups, small bowls. Most important, all dishes were delicious. I wish we do this every week. Well, next time will be around Chinese New Year. Hope you can join us.
